Meet Chef Dennis
Born and raised in Detroit MI, Chef Dennis' love for food stemmed from a very close relationship with his grandmother, Gladys Jackson, who taught him not only how to cook but how to cook REALLY GOOD! He grew up watching her demonstrate her love of cooking and serving good, hearty food. Chef Hughes now carries out her legacy through his passion for cooking with love and care. That love and care is manifested through his attentiveness and use of the freshest products, and old fashioned recipes with a modern twist of flavors!
This in turn, created a life-long foodie and showed a young boy how to build and strengthen a community through the love of food. Our desire is to prepare and serve food to people who love good food at all of your cornerstone community and family events.
Currently, Chef Hughes educates our tomorrow as a kindergarten teacher. His plan is to retire and cook to make folks happy. With the help of his family, the goal is close to fruition. Every event that is booked is another step in the direction of fulfilling his retirement dream! So eat up, we got a star to reach!

*Please note that due to the fact that Chef Hughes is an educator, weekday events during school season are very rare! If you have a need for a weekday event, the possibility of booking will depend on the menu and number of guest expected!

IN ORDER TO ENSURE A SUCCESSFUL EVENT THE FOLLOWING POLICIES AND GUIDELINES WILL APPLY
Guarantee. In order to best serve you, a guaranteed attendance number is required ten (10) business days in advance of the function. For increases, additional charges will be incurred according to the difficulty created in servicing the event, at the discretion of JBHC.
Cancellation. Once an event has been booked, there will be a window of (14) days prior to the event to receive a full refund if the need to cancel shall arise. If the need to cancel comes (7) days or less, only ½ of the FINAL payment will be refunded!
Payment. Once an event and quote has been agreed upon and booked, there will be a deposit of ½ of the total amount due at that time. If the event is less than (14) days away, that deposit will be non-refundable! The Final payment (or balance) is due (7) days prior to the event!
